After the recrystallization, what if we don’t filter the mixture and just let it dry?

After the recrystallization, what if we don’t filter the mixture and just let it dry?
I thought the product won’t be pure compared to the filtered product but we’ll get the same amount of product at the end. Is it right??
If it is right, can you explain why the product is not pure enough?
