An important decision faces Christmas holiday celebrators: buy a real or artificial tree? A sample of 1,508 male and female respondents 18 years of age and over was interviewed. Respondents were asked whether they preferred a real (1) or artificial (2) tree. If there are 6 million Canadian households that buy Christmas trees, estimate with 95% confidence the total number of Canadian households that would prefer artificial Christmas trees.
